Competent and efficient management of consumption can improve the use of available electric power distribution resources while maximizing their availability. In some cases, reducing peaks of demand will allow not to exceed supply capability—as agreed upon with the provider of electricity—and, in other cases, to face higher power demands from new applications without the need to increase the capacity of the current distribution system. In addition to this, we can prepare management plans for clients’ own supply sources, focusing on the most cost-effective generation resource. Sometimes, these plans lead to an immediate reduction in kWh value.
We prepare consumption and supply plans and develop management plans for operating resources, as needed.
Peak shaving is achieved by providing control systems through specific electric automation processes implemented through especially designed equipment. We also provide solutions based on implementing optional SCADA software modules for demand control that allow centralized management of all consumptions and supplies of large industrial plants, mines, etc.
Among the classic solutions to streamline facilities, we provide low- and medium-voltage, fixed or automatic capacitor banks to improve the power factor. Reactive power reduction in facilities through capacitive compensation increases availability of active power accordingly.
